The Escape

Matt and Joanne Engel began recording The Escape as their debut full-length album. Their partnership ended before the album was completed, and Joanne moved to Portland, OR. Matt finished several of the tracks, which were released in 2010 and 2011. He also recorded a version of him singing "Haunting," which is a bonus track on the album. While working on the album from 2006 to 2009, they released several internet singles. Joanne then collaborated with Matt Macfarlane on "Landslide" and with MarkieGee on a remix of "Except now."
