Vocalist/keyboardist Joanne Elizabeth Engel has been writing and performing her own songs since the age of 14. After years of recording and performing as Joanne Elizabeth, she finally decided on Remote Impact as a band name in 2005. The following year, she worked with Matt Engel to release a 5-song EP titled "Butterfly." Joanne performed live throughout the Tacoma, WA area to promote the EP, and they began recording a full-length album. Before it was completed, their partnership ended and Joanne moved to Portland, OR.
Instead of continuing to perform live, Joanne decided to record videos of herself performing at home. Visit the Going Nowhere Tour Page or watch for videos posted in the News blog! Joanne is now collaborating with Matt Macfarlane to record individual songs for release as downloads.
